Daytime Postpartum Care

Someone in your corner, all day long.

Meals made, washing done, the house quietly kept, while you rest, recover, and get to know your baby. Support that shows up in the daylight hours, exactly when the days feel longest.

The early weeks aren’t just hard at night. Daytime brings its own exhaustion: visitors to manage, meals nobody has energy for, washing piling up, an older sibling who still needs school runs and cuddles.

With Nurture, it’s just me who comes to your home, so it’s always a familiar, trusted face. That might mean holding your baby while you shower or rest, or quietly working through the washing and getting a meal on, so you can focus on recovery, feeding, and simply being with your baby.

How I can support you

Everything, thought of

Every visit is personalised. Together we’ll choose the support that’s most helpful for you during your booked time.

Meals & nourishment

Simple, nourishing meals prepared and left ready, so feeding yourself isn’t one more thing to think about.

Laundry & tidying

Washing, folding, and keeping the house calm and liveable around you.

Newborn support

Settling, soothing, and an extra pair of experienced hands whenever you need to rest, shower, or simply sit down.

Older sibling care

Attention and company for older children, so they don’t feel lost in the shuffle of a new baby.

Feeding support

A steady, encouraging presence alongside breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or whatever’s working for your family.

A friendly, experienced ear

Someone who’s been through the early weeks many times over, happy to talk it through or simply let you rest.

Is this you?

Who this is for

  • New parents wanting an extra pair of hands during the day
  • Families juggling a newborn and older children
  • Mums recovering from a difficult birth or caesarean
  • Parents without family nearby to help during the week
  • Anyone whose partner is back at work and needs daytime support
  • Families who simply want the household handled for a while

Why daytime care with me is different

Some days aren’t hard because of one big thing going wrong. They’re hard because of everything at once, the washing piling up, the meal you haven’t had time to make, the shower you keep meaning to have. If that’s where you are today, let me say this clearly: you don’t need to push through it on your own.

I’ve spent over 30 years around babies and young families, so when I’m in your home, the washing gets done, the kettle goes on, and you get a real chance to rest. I’ve done this many times over, and I’m here for you and your baby well beyond these first few weeks.

Common questions

What packages are available?

Welcome Home ($450, 9 hours), Recovery Support ($750, 15 hours), and Village Support ($1,200, 24 hours). Hours can be used flexibly across single days or spread over several visits.

Can you help with an older sibling too?

Yes. Keeping an older child feeling included and cared for is very much part of what I offer.

How far in advance should I book?

A week or two ahead is ideal, especially for packages, but I’ll always do what I can to fit shorter notice in, particularly for overnight or urgent situations.

Can I book a single visit, or do I need a package?

Either works. Casual hourly bookings are available with a three-hour minimum, or you can choose a package if you know you’ll want ongoing support.

Not sure if this is the right fit?

That’s exactly what the discovery call is for. We’ll talk through where you’re at, and I’ll tell you honestly whether this is what you need.
