Help is available. Let’s find the right path for you.
Support shouldn’t be out of reach because of cost. If you may be eligible for funded home help through WINZ or ACC, here’s how it works, and how I can help you through it.
WINZ Home Help
Work and Income can help with the cost of home support if you have twins, triplets, or more from the same pregnancy, or you’re facing a domestic emergency with no one else around to help. You apply directly, and it’s not something Nurture needs to be pre-approved for. Once approved, you choose your own home helper, so you’re free to bring me in. From there, you and I simply fill in a weekly timesheet together to keep your payments going.

ACC support
If you’re recovering from a birth-related injury, another eligible accident, or you’re otherwise entitled to home support through ACC, Nurture can provide that care once it’s approved by your ACC case manager. I’m not a direct ACC vendor, but many families still access funded support this way. It’s simply a matter of checking with your case manager about arranging support from a provider of your choosing. I’ll help guide you through that conversation.
You don’t have to figure out the funding and the newborn stage on your own. I’ll help with both.
Common questions
How do I know if I qualify?
WINZ and ACC each assess eligibility individually, so the best first step is a quick call to them directly. If you’re not sure who to call, get in touch and I’ll point you the right way.
What if my funding doesn’t cover the full cost?
That’s completely fine. We’ll talk through any gap together before your support starts, so you know exactly what to expect with no surprises later.
Can I start with Nurture before my funding is approved?
Yes, you’re welcome to begin with casual or package support at any time, and simply add funded hours in once your approval comes through.
WINZ and ACC each assess eligibility case by case. Nothing here is a guarantee of funding, but I’ll always help you look into it, and talk through any gap between what they contribute and my rates, so there are no surprises.
